10 Year High School Reunion

I flew down to California for a SUPER quick weekend for my High School reunion. I was only in CA for 20 hours so I am not joking when I say quick. I stayed with one of my best friends, Natalie, it was great to spend some time with her.
Here are me and Natalie and Lisa getting ready to leave for the reunion.
Below are a couple of girls from the ward I grew up in, Jackie and Heidi.
This is one of my best friends Meghan.
These are the girls I was on Song with. Laura, Christie, Meghan, Tennille, and Janessa.
This is my friend Amanda.
These are just some of the girls, some of them I have known since I was Hailey's age! Gabby, Samantha, Natalie, me, Amy, Christie, and Christine.
After the reunion we drove past our high school and took this lovely picture. This sign was not there 10 years ago!
The next day I went out to breakfast with another one of my best friends, Beth.
Here is me with Beth and Natalie. I have had lots of fun with these girls!
It was really interesting to go and see so many people I hadn't seen in 10 years. With facebook it is a little easier to keep in touch with people, but it was really fun to see everyone and catch up a little bit. I am pretty sure 90% of them thought I was off my rocker when I said I was living in Idaho and pregnant with my 5th child! As much fun as it was, it also made me glad that I am where I am. I love living in Idaho and I love my family and neighbors and friends and I wouldn't change a thing.

I totally understand the last part about making you realize even more how glad you are to be where you are. To have eight (almost ten) little arms to give you hugs every day is such a blessing. You've lived a lot of good life over the past 10 years!

I loved my reunion! And I felt the same way about the way my life had turned out! You look beautiful in that dress! Purple looks great on you!

Looks like a good time! I couldn't help but noticing that pictures with your friends here would look somewhat different. :)

So when did we get so old?
Let me clarify... YOU, do not look old, but all of your friends that I remember, do. That only leaves me one conclusion: we both look older too, but I can't tell because we see each other often enough(or we did before I moved to Germany) that the changes are imperceptible, but we actually look older too.
Did that make sense?

Great post - looks like a fun time and so true that going back 'home' can make you realize how happy you are to be where you are :)
